And then back home again

After some amazing days by the seaside we have now returned to real life (or tomorrow it starts).
Yesterday we went for 25 K bike ride along the coast and to a port where all the fishing boats come in after their daily trip out, I felt riiiigth at home watching them come in (all though I have to admit I haven't exactly stood and watched them come in back home...)

Just a calm as ever boat coming in to the port
After the ride we went for a coffee, a day on the beach and of course ended it with a glass in the lounge- such nice and relaxing days!
In the evening we went out to eat by the beach- and as you can see below, we were literally on the beach- hence the beach beds behind me there. I do really recommend to sit there and listen to the sea crush to the shore though. We went to a place called Barboa.

I was a happy camper though, and the reason...:
Fresh seafood caught the same day, in a homemade pasta with a rich tomato based sauce...

With the freshest of focaccia bread (as the italian calls it), warm, crisp and with a hint of Rosemarin <3

Here is a short roundup of our time there. It starts with the beach we had beds every day, to our trip to the port, to the store to buy some really, really, really freshly made sandwiches and then I just had to take a shot of the cool train station in Reggio Emilia on our way home again.
All in all a great long weekend! Next up is Amsterdam in a couple of weeks- only been there during Christmas, so I am looking forward to spending a long weekend there.
