Monday off

It is something with those days when you are just off, and everyone else is working- not holiday, but just a random day off- so lovely.

Since my mom came back to Italy with me I decided to take a day off to hang with her.

After the 12 hour travel- ordeal on Sunday we decided to have a rather relaxed day, and sine the weather reports were a bit flaky we decided to not go chill at a swimming pool (which was our initial plan).

So, we started the day with my normal run, had a smoothie and went for a walk in Varese. I made the ‘mistake’ of taking my mom to Primadonna, which is a shoe shop (the name of the brand is atrocious, but the collection is quite nice), and they were on sale…

I think I saw around 20 shoes I could easily buy- it is insane, I could just try and buy shoes! I did contain myself to one pair though, a pair I have seen before on full price, and I wanted to target them if they were on sale- which they were. So… TADA:

The perfect summer wedge espadrille, sparkly, pink, comfortable- so, so, so happy about them!

My mom also (not surprisingly) bought a pair of super nice slip-ons. Silver, platforms- so cool:

And then we were supposed to go to Arese, which is (to become) Europes largest shopping mall, but since we already had done some shopping- we decided to go up to Sacro Monte instead.

There is a nice little trail going up to the church on the top, where along the way there are a number of chapels. The view is stunning, and you can have either a meal or a nice glass of wine enjoying the scenery. If you can’t walk, one can always drive there too, but we of course prefer to get the heart going a bit too.
