Tuscany on the way

We drove from Milan super early but still managed to get stuck in morning traffic outside of Milan. After three hours we made our first stop on the way to Forte dei Marmi, Lucca in Tuscany.

The place itself wasn't that much of a big experience, but cute and good food. We had some lunch and moved on towards our final destination.

We found a restaurant on TripAdvisor close to our Airbnb (ah, the beauty of the sharing economy : TripAdvisor and Airbnb!), and it was this really cute authentic restaurant with such good food!!

As per normal in Italy the best restaurants are not very fancy, and have a sparse interior.

We basically just shared a lot of seafood - which really was so good!!

There was even a 90th birthday being celebrated there- how cool is that!! She did not look 90 and it's just so nice that all came to celebrate her, I hope I'm there when I'm 90!

All in all a great start to our long-weekend :)
