Como and a London trip

Yesterday two things happened, among others of course, but two things of interest.

I went to Como after work for an ‘after- work’ with my colleagues and booked a trip to London for next week just before I go to Corsica to meet my brother, his family, and my mom.

My friend Julie lives in Como so she always finds good places to have after- work, or as they call it here- aperitivo (you buy a drink, you get food- normally from a buffet).

This time we went to Ristorante Lago, which is such a cute place in just on lake Como.

I had a white wine, as per normal and something to eat as I don’t eat dinner afterwards. And D and J had these drinks that tastes so good, ginger ale Mojito are their names:

And the other thing I did was to book a trip to London for next week, so excited- I get to go to a conference called Unbound, where retailers, start-ups and the industry meets to share new technology, ideas and network. I will be going alone, so I must really step out of my comfort zone and be a bit ‘networky’ which I am not very comfortable with being. Should be very interesting in any case.

This afternoon, true to normal I go and pick my bf up in Milan coming by train from Rome. No plans for this weekend- going to hang by a pool or the lake- we shall see. The weekends ahead will have a bit of traveling: next weekend is Corsica, then Pescara, one weekend at home and then me and my bf go somewhere for the long weekend of August 15th- so it is nice to have a weekend at home too.
