Community Day at work

Every year VF (the company I work for) arranges community day, where everyone can take a day from work to join helping the community in the vicinity of our office. It is a great initiative as we get to go out and do something good for the area around us, meet colleagues that we might not have met, and in general stay out of the office one day to make a little difference.

We have a 'Green team' that arranges for this and there are projects you can chose over two days, everything from helping animals, to clean forrest, parks and help around a nearby hospital. This year I chose to stay with my former colleagues cleaning a forrest area so that the natural vegetation can grow and prosper.

We met up at work and carpooled to the place we are to help out at, for us it was in Rancate Valley.

Grilling time- this is after everyone has had their share, so it looks a bit sparse, but it was good and a lot of food!
